What information is available on the alcohol in the B12 drops?

Why does it contain alcohol and how much?
Our priority is naturalness. To ensure the shelf life of the active ingredient, we have therefore opted for the most natural form here: Alcohol. However, the alcohol content per daily dose is so low that it does not need to be advertised. The drops even contain less alcohol than standard apple juice.
What is the alcohol distilled from?
The alcohol for our vitamin B12 drops is distilled from wheat. However, the end product is gluten-free.
Which alcohol is used and how is it produced?
Drinking alcohol (ethanol) is used for our B12.
The added alcohol is added separately. This is produced by fermentation and subsequent distillation.
Why is alcohol more natural than e.g. vegetable glycerine, citric acid, malic acid or the preservative potassium sorbate?
We deliberately chose alcohol because it is natural and, compared to many other preservatives, is particularly stable on its own. Glycerine is also an alcohol, citric acid, potassium sorbate and malic acid can be very unstable in individual cases and are therefore often combined with other preservatives. Vitamin B12 or the active ingredient methylcobalamin is particularly sensitive, which is why safe and stable preservation is important here.
