We can only define and guarantee the shelf life of our products for originally sealed cans and bottles. As soon as these are opened, individual factors such as storage (e.g. open/closed, light & temperature conditions, humidity) and handling during consumption (potential contamination due to, for example, imperfect hygienic conditions) can have a major impact on the shelf life and quality. The stability of your algae oil drops after opening depends on how you use them. If it is exposed to regular, major temperature fluctuations or if it keeps heating up or is left open for a long time, the oxidation and spoilage of the oil is accelerated.
We also recommend that you regularly check the algae oil sensorially before consumption: Have the smell | taste | appearance changed noticeably? As with all other foods, it makes sense to use your own senses and act accordingly.
In summary: If used correctly, our Omega 3 algae oil can be used for weeks within the recommended dosage, perhaps even longer - but unfortunately we cannot guarantee this.
