Amino acids or other co-factors are not specifically added to our zinc from guava leaves. Whether these are naturally present in guava leaf extract is unknown. In addition to the amino acids cysteine and histidine, various vitamins such as biotin, folic acid, vitamin A, thiamine and vitamin B12 also promote zinc absorption. Our vitamin B complex (contains biotin, folic acid, thiamine and B12) and beta carotene (provitamin A) are therefore great companions to our zinc capsules.
And another tip: did you know that zinc metabolism in humans is probably more efficient at night?
