The Sango coral powder is the dead, sedimented corals. These are neither bred nor are living corals damaged during the "harvesting".
The Sango coral is harvested using pumps. However, these are only used in areas where corals can no longer grow. This means that the pumping takes place at a sufficient distance from the reef and only at certain depths of the sea, which are no longer a natural habitat for the coral. Care is taken to ensure that the seabed is disturbed as little as possible. The coral deposits set in motion in the process ensure that nutrients are returned to the ecosystem.
